SAHIC renews itself and grows in Latin America

After the resounding success of SAHIC in Guayaquil on 26 and 27 September, where over 300 key players celebrated the steady growth of the hotels and tourism event that has become a classic for the industry in the region, SAHIC continues surprising.

During the last edition of SAHIC in Guayaquil it was confirmed what was already an open secret: the first investment conference focused on Cuba will take place. SAHIC Cuba will be in session in Havana on 15 and 16 May 2017, which aroused great interest among the business community in America as well as in Europe, Middle East and Asia.

It is estimated that the attendance for this event will be a record for such events in the Caribbean and Central America.

The work program will be completed with interesting pre- and post-event alternatives that will bring attendants unique experiences on an island that will amaze both those who know it and those who still have it as a pending matter.

SAHIC South America

Also during this last edition, the host city for next edition of SAHIC South America was announced.

For the joy of most of those frequent SAHIC`s visitors and leading industry players in the region, a wish being heard in the months prior to the meeting in Guayaquil came true. Buenos Aires will receive the 10th edition of SAHIC South America next September 13 and 14, 2017.

While SAHIC has visited on more than one occasion several South American countries (such as Colombia, Peru and Ecuador), this will be the first time that SAHIC returns to Argentina since its inception in 2008.

The new winds that prevail in this important economy in the region will certainly provide a very auspicious framework for this new edition of the traditional event at a time when a new stage begins to appear apparent after the impact of falling commodity prices, the readjustment of relative prices and the devaluation of many local currencies, in some cases significantly, as has been the case of Brazil and Colombia.

BenchEvents – SAHIC alliance

Jonathan Worsley, Chairman Bench Events, Arturo García Rosa, President & Founder SAHIC

Last June, the alliance with the prestigious BenchEvents led by Jonathan Worsley was announced. The renowned British company, of enormous prestige in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, is one of the founders of IHIF-The Hotel Investment Forum (Berlin) and AHIC-The Arabian Hotel Investment Conference (Dubai), among others. This alliance will certainly begin to see its fruits from SAHIC upcoming events.

And the future will certainly be spectacular

The path towards improvement, innovation and growth to which SAHIC is committed becomes evident in the above mentioned facts. However, these are only the beginning of all the news, of new tools and new solutions in which both teams -SAHIC and BenchEvents- are working together to keep growing but mainly to facilitate the realization of more and better business in the hospitality industry in Latin America.

The first ten years of SAHIC that will be reached next year will mark the beginning of the path in search of new horizons to contribute to the development of tourism in Latin America and to enable the realization of new achievements.
